Multi-Criteria Evaluation of Site Selection for Smart Community Demonstration Projects

Definition and imagination of an ideal city can be traced back to the origin garden in UK about 100 years ago. Since then, many different names topics have been proposed smart is one most recently proposed. Starting from 2000, more countries developed various demonstration projects for promotion order provide total solution sustainable development social welfare. In fact, some them successfully carried out. Some researchers Taiwan argue that current mechanism by which government subsidies are allocated warrants improvement. A comprehensive literature review determined potential cities should prioritized site selection such projects. This study evaluation framework on basis multi-criteria methods enable identification suitable sites. Evaluation criteria were first identified through Delphi method. Next, weights each criterion derived analytic hierarchy process. Furthermore, capability model was simulation testing. Four sites simulated, they are: Taipower Smart Community, Yinlin Technology University campus, Taichung Creative Cultural Park, Asian New Bay Area Kaohsiung, It expected research findings this thesis helpful future decision demo city.
